January 1, 1947 Rose Bowl game football program has #4 ranked UCLA enter the game with a record of 10-0 (their first unbeaten-untied season) but lost to #5 University of Illinois by a score of 45-14. This was the first game in the Rose Bowl series between the Pacific Coast Conference and Big 10 champions that lasted 55 consecutive years. Program is in excellent condition.
